<p>Does Choate have a "Classics" program? That would give him an opportunity to take Latin and (Classical) Greek...if you think he might hit a wall after a couple of years of a single language. The context of a Classics program is tremendous...and a great way to keep him engaged. Even if they just have Latin and no Greek...I've never had a bad teacher for Latin. Same for my son. In fact, for both of us, our favorite teachers were/have been Latin instructors. Always passionate, extremely competent (if not overqualified), they have a contagious enthusiasm, and they teach to impart knowledge (not to the test) and don't mind taking detours from the syllabus as needed.</p>
