Foreign Language

japanese (and east asian language grammar in general) is actually very very simple relative to english or romance language grammar. it’s just very, very different from what you’re used to doing with grammar. but it’s also because fluent speakers just know how to put everything together (in which case native english speakers also don’t realize how complex english grammar actually is unless they’ve had to try piecing tenses and particles together, etc.)

latin sounds so interesting, you should take it. trust me the only friends i know who do chinese either hate it with their guts or are native speakers anyways. although german does sound interesting as well

Tell your parents Latin will be helpful in vocab and grammar. True fact. Latin is awesome.

I love Latin. It makes most western languages so much clearer, especially the Romance languages.

I am taking Latin!

mojeniebo- The way it goes at this school is I will take Latin I-IV and I think I will have to take the AP test for Latin. The school does a very good job in terms of preparing students for AP exams in just about everything, with many students getting some sort of AP Scholar recognition.

Thank you everybody!!

^ Do you have block scheduling?

Sort of. It’s more college-styled scheduling. There’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes that are about 50 minutes long, and Tuesday/Thursday classes about 80 minutes long. And the foreign language will be a MWF class I think.

Good choice.
