Foreign languages: preferred situation

I am a freshman, & I have two years of Spanish completed. I am curious which looks better to colleges: 4 years in one language, or 2 years each of two languages (I'm interested in quite a few).
Thank you :)

4 years of one through AP.

High school language at most schools doesn’t teach much. They’d like to see mastery–a 5 on the AP test and 800 on the SAT ll is easy if you’ve learned the language,

Agree; stick with one

It is clear that colleges would prefer mastery of one language, rather than dabbling in two.

As others have said, take one language to mastery. You can, however, take additional language classes for any length of time on the side.

I’m impressed by this poster, but this isn’t an opinion shared by many.
