I'm very interested in this field and already am majoring in Criminal Justice (also interested in being a CSI). My question is, should I double major in CJ & Psychology? Or will a major in CJ and a minor is Psych be okay?

HELP!

Criminal Justice is your ticket to get you into the law enforcement field. As far as psychology, it is very helpful, but I am not so sure it will get you into any Forensic Department. One of my Criminal Justice professors had a minor in Psychology, and he work for 7 years as a prison Psychologist. He spent those 7 years figuring out and trying to cope with people of pure evil, i.e. Child Molestors, Rapists, Murders; cool mysterious job imo. Any Chemistry or Biology with Criminal Justice is sure enough to get you into Forensics. So far i've meet people who want to get into the field either minor in Chemistry or Biology, or Double Major in either along with Criminal Justice.

Be prepared to go to a lot of school, get perfect grades and know someone. I looked into this, and the popularity of programs such as CSI has made this field super competitive, almost too competitive to be worth getting into.
