I just tried taking a practice test untimed...and i was so screwed...and wats worse is that i have the highest grade in my class...not to boast...but IM SCREWED for the exam...anyone have a schedule for studying for chem?!AGHH

i have one ...but i didnt follow it got really far behind...and now im hyperventilating..literally...this is weird....anyway..im just trying to go over stuff and examples and it starts coming back...hopefully

A schedule? You have what, about two and a half weeks until the exam? Here's a schedule: buy a review book tonight, read it once, take another practice exam, read the parts that gave you trouble again, take another practice exam... keep repeating this for about two and a half weeks.

Get PR. Their chapters are easy and concise.

Pay attention if your class is reviewing.

Also, look over old AP tests and attempt some of the multiple choice and FRQ.

I got PR thanks...and my class isnt done with the material yet...!!!!!!!! I HATE my teacher...he just taught us electrochemistry in one day...and he still has to teach us kinetics, makes me angry...

Wow, that sucks.

Good luck!

dude.. ur screwed but u can still pull it off.. go to ap central and look at all the free response from 1999.. in our class. we've reviewed from 1992 free response....

look thru MC questions. btw: you cant use a calculator on this so make sure you know the concept very well.

also.. know the reactions very well... since its only 3 and you have to balance in net ionic and they ask you couple questions...

like " what is the oxidizing/reducing agent"... minor stoichiometry or which is a bronsted lowry base/acid or lewis bas/acid or arrehnius acid/base...

thats all i can help u.. Just read PR like couple times and take practice tests and REVEW.. BIG ONE.... THE FREE RESPONSE FROM AP CENTRAL..

most frequent questions on the Free response are related to:

electrochemistry in some shape or form
equilibrium with maybe kinetics or as a separate question
thermodynamics (enthalpy, entropy and stuff like that)
molecular geometry..

they ask u 6 questions... 1 is a reaction and 1 is a lab question.. the others are free for all type.

hope tht helps

well our teacher taught us, nuclear chemistry, organic chem, chemistry of metals and nonmetals all in one day.

that was not a fun day.

not to mention that i barely remember anything.

we learned nuclear chemsitry in one day, and had a take home test over break, and learned entropy/thermodynamics in one day, and had a test on it the next day..that sucked..and i dont remember it at all..

Your teachers are pretty bad. You can't learn those things all in one day (except for nuclear chemistry or organic).

i studied for chemistry all night up until now... chem is not that bad ive realized..i really like barrons...i was freaking out and im calmed down because i know a little more now...im going to bed :)....and then picking up with calc in a few hours? i cant wait for may 16...good luck everyone...

... anyone who thinks they're screwed shouldn't be complaining...

I'm self-studying... only I haven't started the studying part of it AT ALL

now whos fault is that...
