I'm not sure if this has already been asked, but I can't find any posts on it. So, here is my question: How important is taking all four years of foreign language for admissions? Is three okay?

I have the same question because I also stopped after 3.

I would think that all of your coursework must be taken into context based on one’s high school opportunities. For instance, at my previous high school, no one did more than 2 years. At my new high school, it is standard for everyone to do five years.

This might help you

Good luck

I took French 3 freshman year, and stopped after that. I hope that doesn’t negatively affect my application…

I stopped after 3.
they dropped the program after 2 and i did independent study french III honors thru university of nebraska.

but this year im taking ap stats online, which i think is more appropriate since i wanna be an env. engineer.

on their website it says aim for these prerequisites and they take every individual situation into consideration. they won’t just write you off for taking 3 years as long as you put another strong class in its place.

i did three years only, this year i made way for global issues and ap european history ;-;
hardly anyone else in my year is taking that course (APEH), since the only history requirement at our place is some form of USH.

glad to hear that 4 isn’t fixed!
