there are certain frats that are more bro-ish than others…

if they are on probation with the IFC or w/e then you can get some rough idea…

Anyone know if there are gonna be a lot of open parties homecoming weekend? Or are they all closed? My girlfriend’s coming up and I wanna make sure we can find some.

Resurgam: did i read grow house?

you were at teke too? wow i probably saw you.

^ yeah. Pretty cool. I was at Sig Phi tonight. Slightly better party, but they ran out of, uh, “beverages” at like midnight… Kinda lame.

look at the cornell sun from earlier this week…sig nu frat (:

I was at Sig Phi last night too…maybe I saw you, we moved to another in a bit though. It’s really nice when you have more female friends that like to party than guy friends :).

yep. no more ‘down low.’ cops look the other way most of the time and occasionally clear out some houses either because it gets too loud and rowdy or just to show some semblance of authority. you can get in to essentially any open party with your cornell id, whether you are alone, with all guys, or with a large group.

Yeah, what was the deal with cops swarming on every street corner in C-Town during O-Week (at least the first couple nights I was there). Why during O-Week and not now?

ZFanatic-Yeah i was at tke’s death of summer party last week. they ran out of rum pretty fast, but they had a 3 story beer bong up until the cops came. It was pretty sweet. I hear they’re having another party in like 2 weeks. All in all I’ve liked their parties-they had an “El Dorado” party last spring with goldschlagger-it was pretty cool too.

Death of summer wasn’t last Friday was it? That’s the one I went to… But I don’t remember any cops showing up.

naw it was death of summer (hence the skulls). and no, the cops didn’t show up (thank dog!) but the beer bong was taken down for when ifc came to inspect

Oh. Haha. I read bong as pong. I remember seeing that as I walked it. Pretty epic.

I did see a guy walking around shining a flashlight down in the basement for a few minutes, maybe that was the guy?

I don’t remember seeing anyone authoritative. i did see the beer bong. apparently everything came out as foam and it was unpleasant.

One more frat related question. My girlfriend is coming in October, she’s from not here obviously. Can she get into a frat party since they require Cornell ID’s? What if she brings her ID from her school? Or does she just need to look “nice” if you catch my drift?

she can still get in. make sure she has her school ID with her and maybe a drivers license (you can also say she is an IC student, but they may also ask to see her IC id). they want students to have IDs because having people drink in the house is a HUGE liability issue

^ Didn’t know that. But as long as she’s got some ID you think she’ll be fine? Especially since she’s a girl.

no, it has to be a cornell id. you have to find a girl with a spare cu id or who isnt going out to borrow

^ Are you serious? Or just messing around?

of course im serious, i didnt realize it sounded like a joke. they dont want all of IC or random creepers coming into the parties. you can get a replacement ID and then lend out the old deactivated one.
