Freaking out about SAT II Biology this Saturday...

I started reviewing in the beginning of August from four sources: Princeton Review, Barron's, REA, and SparkNotes, in that order. I've gone chapter by chapter, but since school started, it's like new subjects have pushed much of what I've reviewed out of my head.

I'm getting super nervous again, even though I'm actually re-taking the Bio test. (The first time was in June; I got 710 after a year of suffering Honors Biology and am NOT happy with that. I'm hoping to get 770+ this time around.)

So, here are my questions:

Which practice tests are most reliable and won't waste my time?

Why did I go through REA when it has so much unnecessary info?

Should I do E or M? I always get higher on E, but someone told me colleges favor M because it's harder... I did M the first time, resulting in my 710.

How many questions should I omit? I didn't omit any in June, unfortunately.

To those who already took the test and were SATISFIED with your scores, what books did you use, what were your practice test and real scores, how long did you study, and how did you manage your time on Test Day?

You probably think I'm a nervous wreck right now. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

P.S. I'm taking chemistry this year. Anyone want to give me tips on the SAT II for that, too?

Thanks in advance, and wish me luck cramming and on Saturday!!! :(

Wow with those four sources it seems you’ve gone through all the material possible, since most people use only two book…

You can take E fine, colleges dont even dwell too much on the sat subjects much less the slight difference between E and M. Do the test you can score higher on.

As for the practice tests idk…Barrons is alot harder than the actual thing, Princeton Review is a little easier…Sparknotes a little harder but has a few mistakes…

Every test book i’ve read says you could only ommit questions that you have absolutely no clue about and cannot even elminate one of the answers choices because statistically
But the thing is that’s probability and not actuality…
Anyway if you are looking to get 770+ that doesnt leave much space for ommiting questions or guessing even.

(PS im also taking Bio this saturday [along with math 2 and chem] and im a nervous cramming wreck as well hahaha)

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks!! Now I’m really angry at myself for posting when I should be studying - tomorrow’s the BIG day! :-O

Anyone else want to weigh in?

Yeah I’m taking it tomorrow too.
I read PR, KAPLAN, and Barrons.
Barrons is by far the best prep book there is…

Good luck to us all=)!

I took the test and I got a 780 without studying at all. I took AP Biology with a great teacher so I didn’t prepare at all. I used Cliffs AP Biology for the AP Exam…studied the night before for an hour and got a 5. Good Luck!
