Freaking out: Late letters?

So, the common application website does not show that my teacher's letters of recommendation have been submitted and I have a deadline tomorrow!

Could someone tell me if colleges (Tufts University, and Rice University) will automatically reject my application? And what can I do to remedy this problem?

I'm not sure exactly how the common application handles this, but colleges routinely allow letters to come in after the deadline. Its not encouraged, but if it happens it typically does not count against you. Teachers also know this (which is unfortunately why they are sometimes late).

You should, however, call the Common App support (or e-mail them) and confirm that your application will still be transmitted without it. You may need to send your letters separately from Common App.
