I go to a pretty tough school and unfortunately got stuck with a stubborn, unfair, and rather immature economics professor. I realize that others have done well in this course so basically the latter are bs complaints.

Well i got a C in my first semester of college. All A's and a C! I really wanna get into a good law school. And I recognize that GPA is one component of the application. But how badly will this weigh me down?!

Don’t freak out. What’s done is done. Just move forward and continue to work. One C is not going to kill your career, although I know it must be disappointing to you. Also, a word of advice that some may not agree with but that I think is helpful: before signing up for your classes, talk to upperclassmen and get a feel for how each professor is with regard to grading (easy, tough, fair, etc.) This will lessen your chances of ending up with a professor like the one you describe above. Good luck!
