My test is in 2.5 hours!! I'm ready

Hey, I'm back from the test (I've been back for a little while now, actually).

I honestly didn't find it too bad. I'll admit, the MC section was harder than I expected, but I know I made up for that by practically acing the grammar/writing/speaking sections. I definitely think I got at LEAST a 4, if not a 5.

Since we're not supposed to talk about the exam, I guess that's all I'll say. Bonne chance everyone! I hope you all did well :)

-Jon ;)

I THOUGHT IT WAS HARD, ESP THE LISTENING.

I didn't even finish the reading MC. I've never practiced speaking before, so that did not fare well...

:-(

I thought the reading and listening were a lot easier than practice ones I'd done. Everything seemed a lot easier. I can't say I aced the grammar and writing sections, because I can't conjugate for my life, but it's highly possible that I actually passed!! :)

How harsh will the curve be?

a giant 2 ... maybe even a 1

ohh.. i doubt you'll get a 1. i'm assuming we'll all get at least 3s. :) i'm an optimist. :D

Emmared, it's interesting to see how you found the test. In my opinion, the rejoinders were harder than the ones I practiced in class (it seemed like there was hardly time to consider the choices before they started reading the next question). Usually, I don't have trouble when they speak fast, but today, on the dialogues (listening) I did somewhat.

Fortunately, the function word fill-ins were SO much easier than the ones I practiced in class (there was only one I was ambivalent about... the rest I got right).

I'll be honest, I didn't like the reading section at all. I'm sure I got "a lot" of it right, but definitely not most.

Again, the verb part, function words, and essay were really strong for me, and the speaking went well too. I definitely must say, if I didn't get a mid/low 5 that I got a high 4 (same as AP English Language which I took today as well).

Good luck to you all!!! It was a tough test, I'll agree, but it's definitely passable! :D

= what kind of curve? More generous than on the 2003 released?

Oh, hey: if you have a past released exam, can you please post up the scoring instructions (that is, how to determine one's MC score and Part II score). Please include the scoring index too.... thanks in advance!
