How much weight did you gain or lose? Is it hard to avoid, and do people generally get stretch marks etc

Lost 30 pounds in half a semester, got about 20 back by the end of the year.

Personally, I’ll be okay if I gain the freshman 15. Over the past 3 or 4 months, I’ve actually lost about 15 pounds, and I’m on the verge of being underweight, so if I were to gain it back, I’d just be at a normal healthy weight.

My mom keeps telling me that I’m too skinny now, but it’s not like I’m trying to lose weight… so… yeah. :-/

I just lost 17 pounds… So bring on the F15 :)

Yeah, I lost 10 lbs the summer before freshman year, then put it all back on over freshman year, even though I swore to myself that I wouldn’t. It’s fine though, because I’m back to the weight I was senior year in high school, so no one really knows I put on weight.

I lost close to ten pounds freshman year. The first semester, I was always driving or doing homework, so I never had the chance to eat.

Second semester I usually walked to school (two miles each way, mostly on a steep incline) and ate pretty healthy.

I gained like 15 pounds my freshman year, and then 15 more pounds my sophomore year, and now I’m obese. I don’t really know why though, because I actually never really worked out until I came to college, and I walk a lot more, and am a lot more aware of what I’m eating and how many calories I’m having and stuff. I’ve never counted calories though, so I guess I should try doing that at some point. Plus, I still fit into the same size 30/32 pants I did in high school.

Exercise .

Wait, why are there two of these threads?

I didn’t gain or lose a pound.

Lost about 30lbs. College food was a huge adjustment to say the least.

college 15 is undefeated…its going to happen, maybe not your freshmen year but, believe me you, itll be there before you graduate.

I actually lost about 5 pounds freshman year. Then junior year I gained about 25. However this has more to do with the medications I was on at the time (ie. was on one freshman year that had the side effect of a greatly reduced appetite and at the beginning of junior year switched to one that works better at what it does but has.

But then I went from being underweight to being about average. I feel fat right now and I’d like to lose 10-20 pounds, so I’ve been trying to work out 4 or 5 days a week, but it’s hard to fit it in between classes and work sometimes.

I feel kind of fat today because I ate three cookies, but all I had other than that was a salad, so if I work out after work I should be okay.

I lost about 45 pounds. I’m in ROTC and we have intense PT workouts 3 mornings a week.

The “freshman/college/whatever you want to call it 15” is definitely not undefeated. Get off your butt and go run.

Poor you :(

Uphill both ways?

^ My walk/trek to class from my dorm actually is uphill both ways… In different places, but uphill nonetheless.

I gained 12 pounds i ate a little unhealthy freshman year haha Plus I played 3 varsity sports in HS, but I never could get into a gym routine at college. I’m trying to lose it though this summer, and hopefully I won’t make the same mistakes next year

I gained 13 pounds at the end of my freshman year… but maybe its because I use to have to bike every day to high-school and in contrast my current campus is small enough to drag your lazy ass from bed to class… :P
