Does anyone know what the freshman dialogue book is this year?

Washington Square, by Henry James. I've got five pages left, and I think it's pretty good

when did you find out what book to read?

i got something in the mail for it today, but maybe early decision kids found out earlier?

what is a freshman dialogue book? Does this pertain only to CAS students or all freshmen?

all freshman. you have to read this book over the summer. and then you meet up with all the other freshman, a little meeting ensues, and then you are broken up into smaller groups to discuss it. here's the website for last year's dialogue

http://www.nyu.edu/cas/dialogue/page2.html

why haven't i heard about it? was it in the mail?
because I'm at Steinhardt for Comm. and they've assigned Jhumpa Lahiri's "The Namsake"...AND theres another one?!

Isn't it only for CAS students?

Stern website never told me about this....

I think it might only be for CAS- The URL says "/cas/". I found out which book at the CAS reception- the dean told the parents, apparently.
