<p>I am currently an incoming freshman who lives near Cal Poly Pomona. I am just wondering as to why I am required to stay in dorms for the 3 days of orientation when I live 5 minutes away?</p>
<p>Because they have to account for everyone whatever group you will be put in and if you were to go home and forget to wake up at 7am they couldn’t bang on your door and tell you to get up, and you’d be holding up your group of about 30 people.</p>
