Okay guys, so I'm currently a freshman in high school about to be a sophomore. My GPA sucked this year because of personal problems(my mom had cancer, and DYFS was involved a few times) - it ended up to be a 1.8. I'm taking an Algebra 2 course that starts next week and I believe I am also taking AP Chem this summer. If I do really well and get a 3.5 GPA sophomore year, and then 3.6 junior year, and 3.7 senior year, will I still be able to get into a good college. My dream college is FSU. I'm taking Chemistry Honors and either Algebra 2 Honors or Pre Calc Honors sophomore year. Do you think I can still get into FSU? I'm really motivated now and I WILL get the grades I want. I also am in a few clubs and I'm doing volleyball. PLEEASE help me figure out if I can get into FSU because that is my dream

Trust me, you can definitely get into FSU if you do well in your later years You can always explain what happened during your freshman year on your app. Colleges will also like that you improved over time.

How are you getting these rapid increases to exact numbers? FSU is getting more competitive in their admissions. It is possible to get in if you can pull these rapid increases off.
