A number of students (2,000) for the class of 2019 have been offered admission to UD for Spring 2016. At decision day this past Saturday, it was noted that 150-200 from the class of 2018 were offered this same opportunity last year. If you were one of those students (or parents), could you please share your experience with a spring semester start rather than starting with your fellow classmates in the fall? I would be interested in knowing what housing you were offered, was it harder to meet people since friendships had been established, etc. Any feedback/advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
Wow - that’s a lot of students offered for second semester - I wonder why so many more than usual? We know several students who were offered spring admission but none are going. My son has a friend there this year who came second semester - he did know several students from high school and pledged a fraternity (with them) this semester. I know he was placed with another new second semester freshman in his dorm room, which helped the transition as well. Good luck to your student!
