Are scholarships like Golden Oaks renewable? I can't find anything that lists the criteria for renewal.

Just what I needed… thanks!

No problem!

Is the Golden Oaks scholarship automatic, or is there a further process? Do they look at the unweighted GPA on the high school transcript, or do they recalculate it?

The Golden Oaks is automatic when applying if you meet the criteria. Make sure you have both Physics and Chemistry because they only admit a few students who have not taken both classes. LSU recalculates the GPA for honors (weighted at 4.5) and AP (weighted at 5.0).

Is your recalculated GPA shown somewhere when you log into your PAWS account? Or can you just call/email admissions and ask for it?

I’m not seeing it on the PAWS account, but I’d love to know the conversion they come up with!

does anybody happen to know if you are more likely to get into lsu if you are an in-state student? even if you dont meet requirements?

ltiger- LSU is a big fan of in-state students. They value students who meet the criteria, but they aren’t generally picky. If you have a high GPA, but a low ACT score they will probably let you in and vice versa. However, you have a low GPA and a low ACT score, you probably won’t get in.
