Ah, that worked. Rejected. :)

w/e rej… it’s not like i’d expect anything…:(

Man, seems like bad news all around for everybody :(.

omg, i got in!!!'

Dear Patricia;

Congratulations! I am very pleased to offer you admission to the Williams College Class of 2013. A more detailed, personal letter of acceptance has been mailed to you, but I encourage you to click here to view the online version.

Sincerely,

Richard L. Nesbitt
Director of Admission

Accepted! (Although, I kind of had a feeling only because the finanical aid office sent me a letter last week urging me to send in some missing documents so that they can complete an accurate financial aid package for me.) Congrats to those accepted and, to those who were not offered admission, I wish you all the best of luck on any more colleges you have left to hear from!

The rejection letter said that fewer than 1/9 got in.

congrats pliverpool! [edit] and amibitious! :)

I don’t expect too much from Williams because it has 5% acceptance rate for internationals.

Got rejected (like it’s such a surprise!)

I got in! I’m so excited and surprised.

The acceptance rate was just over 20 percent, so it’s more like 1 in 5 got in. It’s more likely that 1 of every 9 applicants will enroll at Williams.

I got accepted!

I’m in total shock right now.

This is unbelievable! Waitlisted for both Williams and Amherst, and I’m international. Jeez.

Waitlisted. Eff. I thought, if anything, I’d be flat out rejected. I think this is the only non-acceptance I am/will be sad about.

Rejected.

I’m not upset at all. I think most of the disappointment came after my ED deferral. Now I can get Williams out of my head.

Congrats to all accepted!

Man, this is kinda scaring me. I know Williams is hyper-selective, but 20% doesn’t sound all that selective and it’s not more selective than a lot of the schools I applied to :(.

arcadia-- The letter reads: “In selecting the Class of 2013, the Committee sought to incorporate a variety of talents, interests, and backgrounds from applicants who, like yourself, have shown the ability to benefit from a Williams education. Unfortunately, we have room in our first-year class for fewer than one in nine of those who apply.”

Consolation lies???

It’s not a lie. They admit more than they have slots for because they expect some people to go elsewhere.

Consolation lies.

Accepted! I can’t believe it!

Oh well. Williams wasn’t particularly high on my list, and I already got accepted to two colleges that I really love.

Good luck to everyone still waiting! :)
