So I just took ap Calc AB this year and got a 5 on the exam. will the jump to ap calc BC next year be really big? I will need to take both of these classes by the time I graduate. I am also taking AP USH, AP Chem, and AP Stats with Driver's ED, Intro to Business, and Regular English 3. Thanks

Definitely not. BC only covers a couple more chapters than AB.

I think you should be ok, our entire BC class jumped straight from precalc and we all got 5s on this years exam

60% of BC material is covered in AB. So the vast majority of BC calc will be review.

You’re probably going to be bored to death for the first 1/2 of the class. People at my school who take AB as a junior usually skip the first trimester of BC because they’ve already learned the material. Honestly, there are only a few concepts in BC that aren’t covered in AB. You shouldn’t have a problem since you did well in AB!

Ok thanks, but how do u think I’ll manage it with ap USh ap Chem and ap stats put together? Ap Chem is insanely hard at my school with labs like everyday in the afternoon and few class instruction. Mostly labs. Difficult tests.

I’m replying to this for my friend who posted te thread, hello2014. I meant how do you think he will manage it? Thanks

Agree with hville7, if you learned anything in your AB class you will breeze through more than half of next year. Many kids like myself go straight to BC from trig/precalc so you’ll be just fine.

The second semester may be challenging because the ‘C’ topics that you didn’t get to last year can be tricky but you’ll be fine, even with all those other AP’s.
