Are there many people who go to Master program of American university after getting BSc in British university? If this is common, what should I do to increase my chance for competitive program? What if I will get MSc in UK and begin PhD program in US? (Is it even possible?)

I’m not sure if it is common but it is not unheard of. Ditto with going to a Ph.D. program after an M.Sc.

Going through the 5 years to get the MSc would probably make you a much stronger applicant for US PhD programs. All of the Europeans I know who are doing their PhDs in the US first completed their MSc (or German equivalent Diplom) before coming for their PhDs.

OK. Is it possible to go to Master program of other university in UK after getting BSc? Or is it more desirable to stay in the same university until getting MSc?

Yes, it is possible. I have done that. Though if you do a masters in the US in the same area you did your undergrad in in the UK, you will end up repeating a lot of stuff. This is because undergrad degrees in the UK are much more focussed.

So, it seems that it’s much better to get MS in UK and then consider grad programs in both UK and US.
