Hello, everyone I was admitted to FSU for the Summer. I plan to study Nutrition. When is the official deadline to submit the intent to enroll for the summer. How many people are typically in the summer program? I live in Tennessee so I will be driving out to Tallahassee soon to visit. I will also be participating in the FYA with hopes to gain in-state residency.
Did you change your mind? I thought you were just curious about FSU, and were planning to go to San Diego State?
@Trisherella Yes, I realized that FSU was probably a better fit major wise.
@Trisherella I also like the FYA program that FSU offers
Tallahassee in the summer and Tallahassee during the regular fall/spring semesters are basically two different towns… The Tallahassee that you encounter in the summer is a much smaller population- the student population totals something like 75k between FSU/FAMU/TCC, and most of that is gone during the summer. During the summer a lot of businesses change their hours to close earlier, especially around FSU’s campus. It’s actually kind of nice, because the usual traffic jams and such are gone. If you start on campus in the summer, you’ll get to learn where things are and what resources are available with a much smaller crowd.
If you can visit during the fall/spring semester (before the end of April), it’ll give you an idea of what the campus is like when all the students are there.
@Pasbal Thank you for all of the info. Unfortunately, I won’t be making it to FSU until May 22nd when the freshman orientation is. I plan to bring my car on my campus during the summer so I will have places to go after class. I will be heading to Spain at the end of August to start the FYA program. I will return to FSU in the fall of 2018. I just paid my intent to enroll and I am really looking forward to my time to being a Seminole.
