/\ SUMMARY /_________________________________________________________________

\/ DETAILS \/

Stats:
GPA: 3.8ish UW (W= not much more because most of my classes aren’t weighted until I pass my IB exams at the end of senior year)
SAT: 1400/2050 (670V, 730M, 650W)
SAT IIs: 670 Math 1, 660 Literature (plus some more lower scores)
Rank: School doesn’t rank
Course Load: Close to hardest possible -> IB Diploma Candidate in IB-only school
School: Very diverse; moderately competitive… I think -> about 18% of my senior class is an IB Diploma Candidate

ECs:
Soccer: Very dedicated, play year round; all 4 years on high level club team, varsity soccer at school. Soccer severely impacted for during freshman and junior years due to serious injuries, but remained active in teams.
Coach: Volunteer head coach of youth soccer team for past 2 spring seasons.
YMCA Leaders Cub: Member for 5+ years. We organize events for children in our community, as well as fundraise so that underprivileged children can get scholarships to YMCA camps.
Work: Have worked at 2 full service hotels. Full time during summer of junior and senior years, and part time during school year of senior year.

Subjective:
Essays: I think they are solid… main one is about learning to live with guilt, why brown is about why I want to go to a liberal arts college for business (obviously COE, but more uniquely how the natural educational and social environments at Brown foster an entrepreneurial spirit).
Recs: Read one teacher rec which was excellent (about my growth over 3 years in her classes and recovering from hardships in my personal life); didn’t read 2nd teacher rec but I think it’ll be good as well (wrote about my “remarkable integrity” as demonstrated through actions he witnessed). Counselor rec should be good (… I hope). One supplemental rec from a regional head at my international hotel brand that I have worked under for 2 years (should be very good).

thank you all for your insight and Merry Christmas!

looks good to me...except this isnt brown :)

Yeah, I would definetely watch that. Before my interview I was talking to someone in the admissions office and they said nothing hurt a candidate like:
"The reason I'm applying to Duke (or Vandy, UVA, etc.) is"
so keep that in mind.
Otherwise, I'd say Wake looks like a good match for you.

this is not Brown, I hope u didnt send ur app in

oops! sorry about that, I had just copied and pasted my chances thread that I wrote for the brown forum and forgot to take that part out. defanetly won't make that mistake on the app. thanks for the insight.
