full ride at umd vs other great schools

With about 30 AP credits, it would seem like there would be some room for some “fun” classes.

Are you planning a double major or some extra minors or something?

Yeah that’s what I would figure too :(

And yes I want to double major in Government/Politics and Arabic Studies. I wanted to do a minor in Terrorism Studies but from what I could work out I don’t have room for it…hopefully once I get on campus I can talk everything over with an academic adviser and we’ll be able to work it all out…

i’d go to UMD. you’ll need a masters anyway for IR so do well in school then apply to SAIS/Eliott/Gtown/Kennedy/Wilson/Fletcher for your masters

UPDATE: So the financial situation has changed to a certain extent…my grandmother just informed us that she’ll give me $20k towards my education. So if I use that on undergrad, that makes all of my options affordable. On the other hand, if I still decide to go to UMD I can use that money for grad school…does UMD still make the most sense by far or should I consider my other options? Is there a reason to think I’ll get significantly more out of these other schools, enough to make the money worth it?
