yes, 1680 out of 2400 on all three test, which is relatively low compared to some who are rejected or waitlisted…had good extra-co’s and very interesting essays…idek what my letter of rec looked like (used one)
GWU and Richmond seem to be good campuses then. my school has a nice mostly grass campus, about 1800 students in it K-12…im from Manhattan, so i get the best of both worlds. I can’t say I love one over the other tbh. some grass and city would be nice. I kinda don’t want the rural environment I feel like it’s a repeat of my 1st grade thru 12 experience

tutoring is such an important factor that I’ve looked over! I do feel like I could be slightly at an academic disadvantage because of my potentially lower learning aptitude than my peers at these colleges. a lot of people from my school struggle because they just aren’t prepared for the rigor, but I’ll finish three college classes after this year at lebanon valley college

projected A-B in MacroEcon & US His
finished java programming w/ a C+

What colleges would I be able to excel at, not just struggle to pass…that’d be the worst case scenario. in a way, which colleges have the hardest or easiest academics?

thanks for the response.

Those are my only acceptances and financial aid has came through for all of them. I’ll have to contact each coach about playing football and it’s time commitment.

My parents are not and have not been part of my college selection process and will be paying nothing for it. my mom is out of the country and has never seen me play football…it doesn’t bother me because the people here at my school are like family, my football family is my coaches and teammates. …my siblings went to the same high school and are all working in NYC now.
they know more about the corporate world and college but family support isn’t really a factor for me to be honest

my only travel expenses will be to go to NY on breaks to stay w/ my sister

Richmond’s Academic Skills Advising program seems very supportive and useful. I’m have to look at the other school’s academic support

Dabeast999, I wasn’t accustomed to seeing an SAT score listed that way. I wasn’t providing any commentary about your results.
You have accomplished a great deal to gain admission to these schools. Best wishes To you with which ever school you choose.
If you haven’t visited Richmond or GWU and you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

GWU if you want to work in the DC area. Lehigh if you want to work in the Northeast. I’d say those are your best two options.

You are looking at this the right way, OP. But it’s hard to say. I know some who love, love, loved GW—city school, DC were just perfect for them, but I’ve known a number of kids who hated it too. They wanted more the typical campus, college experience that V and L would provide. Lots of kids I know have gone to R, but as you note, it would be a tough go in terms of academics–very rigorous school, and it does get freezing cold and stay that way up there. Richmond is smaller, I believe, than the others and has less national recogniton, but DS’s close friend graduated from there and loved it.

I would probably go with Villanova for my kids. A nice campus, traditonal campus life, solid academics with good support, good name recognition, a school that enjoys the sports and other rah rah type activities and right in a good area of a major city to boot. But that’s my pick.

dabeast, the first two responses you got on this thread were ridiculous. You can only get in where you can get in, and with your stats you frankly are very fortunate to have such GREAT choices. I don’t know what elitist planet some of these people are living on to call these schools “regional.” Every single one of those five are ranked very highly on a national level. That said, you MAY struggle at any of these. You are getting way ahead of yourself to be worrying about being a millionaire right out of college. All of these will be very demanding for you academically. You may want to evaluate the amount of support at each of them. I personally think UR is the best school on the list, followed probably by Villanova. Better make sure you are comfortable with the vibe at social scenes at the other three.

as far as campus setting, idk what I want. I like the prospect of being able to travel w/out a car by going to Nova or GWU where public transportation can get me where I want to go
again Rochester just doesn’t seem ideal and if I go there there’s room for regret…I feel like I’m straying away from UofRoc. seems like Richmond will be best for my grades due to small classes and academic support. I’m getting less and less concerned with relative prestige between these schools because I think I’m good at making myself attractive or marketing myself to people I want to work for or even schools due to my work and college app. experience plus the research and networking i know I’ll do to create the greatest chance for achieving my professional career goals

ha, I agree with you. I’m just going to have to do some visits and have conversations with current students to make my decision on the social/extracurricular vibe, because all of them seem hard but Rochester seems like it will be the hardest

dabeast, I think Rochester is a rigorous school but I would guess there are only very marginal differences in “hardness” between your 5 choices. They will all be hard, and I would also guess that GWU would be the easiest to skate through with Bs and Cs which is interesting since some seem to think that is your most “known” option.

GWU for sure, the internship opportunities and surrounding DC atmosphere is great for an economics major
