fun in college

I have a quick question. Is it wrong to take a good school off of my list of schools to apply to just for the fact that the college itself is pretty boring. There is one college that I am interested in for it's academics but several people have told me that the school itself is pretty "boring" and every time I ride past this schools it seems to me as if nothing interesting is ever happening. I know this may sound like a dumb question because college should be fun but at the same time isn't the aim of college to get a good education and advance to grad school. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You should go to school somewhere you feel comfortable. If you perceive the school as “boring”, your overall attitude will probably suffer, which could potentially affect school work.

With thousands of possible schools, I suggest you keep searching for someplace you will thrive socially and academically.

With skyrocketing tuition rates what they are, as well as the poor economy and stagnant job market, college “fun” is quickly becoming less important of a criterion than it has been the last few decades.
