Future classes

Hello! I am a rising sophomore in high school and I now know that I want to be on a pre med track for college and I got to thinking what AP classes I would want to take to help prepare me for that. I was thinking about taking AP psychology my sophomore year. AP biology and AP physics my junior year. AP chemistry and AP calculus my senior year. Do you think this is a good plan? I would love to attend UNC chapel hill because I know they are a good school for what I want to do

What does your guidance counselor suggest? That person should know which students from your high school have gone to UNC-CH and what classes (and grades) those students had.

It’s never too early to plan, but just know that plans often change. Take the APs if you actually end up finding them interesting, not for the sake of your plan. UNC Chapel Hill will accept all different types of people: both those that took and didn’t take those APs.

You should talk to your guidance counselor, but I think AP Bio and AP Physics in the same year might be a lot. Maybe you can ask older students about the workload?
