I have some questions about life at Duke that I can't seem to find exact answers to online

-How big are triple rooms and where will I likely be placed if I have one?
-Which dorms (on East Campus) have been most recently renovated?
-How hard is Math 122L, in reality?
-How nice are dorm bathrooms?
-How much truth is there to the "elitist" attitude at Duke?
-What kind of laptop did you get?

Thank you very much to anyone who responds

I’ll bite.
-I’m not sure how big the triple rooms are. Can’t help you there.
-Bell tower is very well appointed, it even has massage chairs and other fancy amenities.
-If Math 122 was previously called Math 31 (intro to calculus), then I can say that it isn’t particularly challenging. There is a steep grading curve though, so you have to be willing to master the material and work on solving problems every day.
-I have no complaints about the dorm bathrooms. They are cleaned every day and are more than adequate in all respects.
-There is probably some truth to the stereotype, but you will encounter wealthy students at every single elite private school. The people I hang out with are very down to earth and very intensely intellectual. Judging by stereotypes, we’d be more suited to a place like Chicago than to Duke or Penn. However, we’re all thoroughly enjoying our time at Duke. Just goes to show you that you shouldn’t judge a school by its conventional image.
-I have a MacBook Pro. It has served me well over the past few years. I couldn’t have asked for a more robust computer. The thing is virtually indestructible.

Thank you so much for answering!

It was my pleasure. I hope you enjoy your time at Duke!
