Future Tar Heels

Please allow me to say that it has been a great pleasure keeping up with this forum for the past couple months. It has been one heck of a ride and I’m honored to be a part of this great community, both Carolina and CC.

First, for those who are rejected, I’m sure you are capable of achieving greatness, and please don’t let Carolina’s decision destroy your dream or confidence. Prove them that they made a huge mistake. Second, for those who are deferred, Carolina just needed to wait a bit longer before admitting you, so stay strong! I understand the wait is impossible, but on the bright side you are still in the game. Lastly, for those who are accepted, I’m proud and honored to have you as a member of this amazing family.

I’m new to this whole college thing. To me, there are infinite uncertainties. Its like a small town boy going to a big city, confused, but excited. I’m a first generation kid, who dreams of making something out of my life. I will majoring in biochemistry and minoring in marine sciences. Ultimately, I want to pursue a career in medicine and would love to have few friends along this journey.

@zhi128 - Well done, and congratulations! My son is a senior, and has had an amazing time at Carolina. I am sure you will fit right in. Good luck.
