Anyone else get an unsatisfactory pick (optional: include your initials so I can test if I got picked late since mine are DT)? I got bumped out of 3 philosophy classes for medieval studies (at least it's about Lord of the Rings). Any guesses at the chances of changing out during orientation?

Meh…not really what I wanted, but I got MEDVL 1101-104. Bottom of my list, but it’s better than nothing…I really wanted a philosophy seminar though.

I got my second choice, but I really wanted to take a government fws. Should I hold out to switch? :/

I would wait until the first day of class - I have found that how much I like my FWS depends wayyyy more on the teacher than on the content. In fact, I generally disliked the content but loved the classes just because I had great teachers. Second semester my teacher was a (insert choice word here), so I switched into a less-appealing class just to get away from her. It worked out well - the new teacher was great, and it led to a good class atmosphere and probably a much better grade!

I didn’t think about that livychan1103; that’s a good point. At least I have a week of FWS before it conflicts with weight training so I know which one to switch, though I really wanted a FWS that involves a lot of thinking rather than a lot of reading and analyzing.
