<p>IMO, what she and the BF did to their families and friends was unthinkable and unconscionable. And for what? Far from serving some greater purpose or making certain kids feel sorry for their remarks, I’d say they undermined any point they wanted to make by the very deceitfulness of their approach. Not only does she (and equally, if not more so the BF) lack a shred of human decency in putting her BFs parents through the ordeal, but six of her seven siblings were kept in the dark as well. What is really outrageous is the fact that in the ABC news article i read, a “counselor” defends the whole thing, when as a research project it breaks every ethical standard in the field. I have both friends and family in the counseling professions who were appalled.</p>
