Game Design: Computer Science or Game Design Degree

Well, Columbus State has a digital art and design track within its BFA program - so you could probably major in art and minor in computer science with a focus on game design, or do the opposite.

I’d rather go to SCAD or an gaming graphics school for that. Unless they have a pretty good program.

SCAD is far more expensive than Columbus State, though.

Yes. I haven’t seen if they teach more gaming graphics. SCAD does more of the graphics aspect. I’m trying to check out SCAD Atlanta and Georgia Tech’s campus and ask a student. I don’t want to get stuck in just programming games. I want to know the graphics aspect of them too.

Plus I don’t like the idea of getting a art degree from a non-art school. Not saying a non-art school can’t be good in art or design. I know Columbus isn’t known for it.
