Would medical schools frown upon a business major spending a gap year working a financial job after applying to med school?

That being said how time consuming would interviews, etc. be?

Also, if I plan on taking the MCAT after my junior year, would it hurt at all to try applying that summer, even if I had not taken 2 pre-reqs, or should I wait till after my senior year?

Vocational majors are generally sticky when it comes to admissions.. I myself am in the same boat as you (finance and history with pre-med track) and I too have received the lucrative job offers coming straight out of undergrad; I think the adcoms would question where your heart truly lies imo.

As far as interviews, my cousin was free most of the fall to make sure no scheduling conflicts occurred - not very time-consuming just stressful acc to him.

If you take the MCAT that late, it' better to just wait a gap year like you said and just apply in June of the very next admissions cycle.
