I have all of that but what’s considered a moderately low income?

How many people are in your household, are attending college, etc? If you are pell grant eligible, you are eligible for this

I’m a junior in high school. There are 2. And my guidance consular said I’m considered an independent on fafsa because I am under legal guardianship and my EFC will be 0.

Than you will be definitely eligible for this, I think…which schools are you interested in now? What are your grades, test scores, etc like if you would like suggestions?

My top choices are University of Texas and UCLA.
I have a 4.7 weighted GPA, unweighted 3.9.
I’ve only taken the ACT and got a 30.

Quick question, when you’re filling in the leadership part and it asks when you started and when you ended that leadership role, what if you’re still continuing that role? Would you just put the end of the school year as your end or?

^.
That is what my daughter did (4 years ago.)
I don’t see any problam with it if you are continuing the EC

Thank you!

Is it ok to have 1 teacher doing both recommendation and nomination? Did any past winners had 1 person doing both? Is it worse to have 1 person instead of 2? Thank you

When should we have the FAFSA completed by?

is anyone finding the exactness of the comm service hours to be a pain?

I was wondering, on the essays that ask about which subjects you excelled and had difficulty in. Did anyone just talk about one subject?

yes lol… i dont like how the comm service is blocked by years instead of being able to individually list things…

I only talked about one subject, but you can write about more than one.

I’m half way done with my application until I realize that I have to qualify for Pell Grant.
My sister received no grants last year and I’m scared that I might not receive Pell Grant. Would my chances of getting Pell Grant go higher since now she’s in college and I will be going to college as well?

If I get declined for Pell Grant, would I also be disqualified for the Gates?

i really shouldn’t have waited this long to do the essays =/

do you have to complete fafsa to complete gms?

Wait so for the community service, if we did an activity for all of 2010-2011 then do we list that activity and its hours MULTIPLE times on the application for each of the time blocks and hours? Or do we just list it once? (and leave some hours out)

So are there any Gates scholars that would’nt mind reading over some essays? lol

Iam so stressed because of this lol I hope we all get it =]
