Gator Ratings - UF Professor Ratings

This website is really slow. Also, how do I search it?

What internet connection do you have? Loads fast for me...

On the left hand pane there is a search box for professors and one for courses-- how could you miss it :)

The site is actually on the faster side. Good work; hopefully it blows up like RMP so we can have some more detailed info about each course.

Yea, the course info is a big plus -- my favorite feature is that you can pick a course and it will tell you the easiest professor for that course (granted, this will be much more useful once there are more ratings)

Anyone else got any feedback?

You should definitely publicize the site on campus

I want to know who gave Yasar Yesilcay 10's across the board for STA4321 so I can slap them.. Worst teacher ever.. Easy to get an A, but horrible instructor. But yea, good site.

To the OP, I would try to focus on advertising for the large lecture classes. I think its going to take some time before it gets to the level of ratemyprofessor, which is what I think most people use.

vincanity, asmaj -- yes i definitely plan to advertise on campus (especially near the large lecture halls). I'm actually in GA right now, but will be back in good ole g'ville later this week :)

My bad, disregard what I said earlier. I guess my internet was lagging or something - the site is great.

thanks for the feedback :)

shameless bump

Does this sight not exist anymore?? :frowning: I was all excited.

Apparently not. Though I’ve never had any problem just using ratemyprofessor.

[University of Florida - Florida](http://ratemyprofessors.com/SelectTeacher.jsp?sid=1100)

[University of Florida - Office of the Provost / Academic Affairs](UF Faculty Evaluations)

This is far better.

gpowsang

I’ve never found the course evaluations helpful. I know that I always Just give straight 5s, and I find the value of sites like that to get tips about the quirks of a professor, rather then the numerical evaluation. I find it more valueable to know things like “His quizzes are always word for word from the reading” and things of that sort.

i’m usually pretty honest on those professor evaluations, and they ask more specific questions. i dont take them into consideration without looking through a large enough sample across semesters though.
