congrats, knew u'd get in.

I am considering transfering in the winter, although as of right now not that likely

I was accepted this morning, and I couldn't be more excited! I am suprised that I made it in, considering I applied from a four year university (the University of Vermont). I cannot wait to leave VT and head home, whilst enjoying the SB sun!
Good luck, everyone!

Congratulations to you all! I also was accepted on April 2nd, however, I am still waiting to hear from UCB and UCLA. WesttoEast, you will absolutely love CA. I have lived here all my life and it is definitely an incredible place. The weather, yes, is phenomenal. In fact, as I write, I really should be outside in the sun, at the beach or just in the backyard. Appears to be 72 and sunny today.

I am still on the fence about UCSB. I am an English major, so I have been debating the whole UCLA vs. UCSB thing for over a year now and have tried to weigh the pros and cons to the best of my ability. Basically, UCSB has a beautiful campus, I don't just mean the weather and proximity to the beach, but I mean the facilities and actual classrooms are newer and lend to a very maintained and fresh environment which I really thrive in. On the other hand, UCLA would mean a good 4 hours of commuting everyday for me, which I am not necessarily looking forward to. lol

At any rate, I have had a lot of friends that went to UCSB and have known hundreds of fellow students who eventually decided to attend there as well and all of them enjoyed it immensely for different reasons. Just find your niche, work hard, get active on campus, and find solitude a little bit everyday and you'll find the perfect balance wherever you go.

if my appeal at davis doesn't go through, i am definitely going to be a gaucho. and if i can't be an aggie, a gaucho is the next best thing! my friends who go there absolutely love it.

i will also be a "gaucho" ;)

I will most likely be a gaucho as well... I'm not too optimistic about my chances to LA, and I'd be able to graduate much sooner at SB anyways. Plus that, SB looks beautiful! I think I'm going to go up next weekend to take a look at it... I might be happier there than I would be at LA anyways (I've heard the academic pressure in the Bio dept. at LA is just insane).

UCSB is gorgeous.....making sure you check out the UCen, get a sweatshirt, key ring, a cup of coffee at Nicoletti's. If you've never been, go on a tour. I'm going next Friday, I think. That's always a popular day to go. Good, also notice how nice the buildings are, the newer ones are fantastic especially the new Science and Humanities buildings. Being an English major, that's a major pull for me since UCLA's buildings are not as nice (do'nt tell anyone I said that.....they'll revoke my screen name). I'm still undecided, darnit.

Read the article on ucsb.edu about this years admitted students....it was very impressive. It's on the first page, of course under current news, I believe.

anyone going to be attending gaucho transfer friday on the 6th or 13th?

I will probably be a Gaucho in the fall, depending on whether I get any good news from UCLA in the next couple of days. Does anybody know how much on-campus housing is available for transfers?

HELL YEAH GAUCHOS!!

I'M STILL WAITING FOR AN ANSWER. They take forever.

The campus is nice. But I'm still waitin

:D

Go Gauchos

OLE! UCSB is the best looking campus in the WORLD!voted most beautiful campus by ....ah cant remember the mag....U Can Study Buzzed!
