Gay in College

Anyone know some of the best colleges to be gay at?

You’ll be fine at pretty much any university that isn’t conservative and/or rather religious.

Personally, I’d recommend a large public as you’d be more likely to find potential dating partners with a larger student body.

Good Point. Thank you!

Is this a serious question? You will be accepted by some and rejected by others anywhere you go. As the previous poster said, avoid overly religious schools (especially catholic and Mormon colleges) and you’ll be fine. It’s less about the school itself than finding a group of people who you feel comfortable with

A lot of women’s colleges are very LGBT inclusive. Larger universities (public and private) without religious affiliations like Boston University, New York University, U Washington, and so on will have larger LGBT communities where it’ll be easier to fit in.

Oh yeah, and in a league of it’s own (haha, get it) - Brown. Brown is very open minded and liberal.

I actually just looked this up a couple of days ago. I managed to find a lot of list. For example:

You’ll notice a few colleges coming up on there consistently. Ithaca, Brown, University of Illinois, University of Minnesota, University of Washington… There’s plenty of schools with strong and active LGBT groups and liberal minds. You’ll definitely find somewhere you’ll fit in.

The OP’s other posts indicate interest in USD (University of San Diego, a Catholic school) and the fraternities there (21% of men participate in fraternities, while 36% of women participate in sororities).
