Gay Pride?

How is Harvard in terms of acceptance of its gay students? And would you say the students are accepting as well as the school itself?

Someone I know got accepted to Harvard, and he’s gay. To be fair, he came out of the closet a year after he got admitted.

He’s still “intensely reticent” so I can’t comment on the students being accepting. However, knowing the standards of students accepted, I can wager a guess and say it’s likely that they’ll be accepting of it.

Most ppl are accepting here. I don’t know if I could say comment on what percentage of the students are homosexual, but there definitely is a community here.

From what I hear, very affirming. Check here:

All my friends that go to Harvard, are, gay. I don’t know what that means, but it’s there, there’s a community, and I like to think that what is arguably the most prestigious college in the world, isn’t full of bigots.

The saying goes, “At Harvard, you’re gay until proven otherwise.” Being accepted is the least of your worries, seriously, unless you hang out at the Republican Club, and even there many people are very accepting.
