I've read on several websites that Vanderbilt offers gender-neutral housing options, but this goes completely unconfirmed by Vandy, so does anyone know what's really going on?

Vanderbilt’s dorms are single-sex by floor. Typically the floors in a dorm alternate genders.

It’s a shame so many people have to live on campus and worry about these things.

Also, most dorm buildings (Towers, Highland quad) are normal apartments without sex separation by floors. Obviously to protect the naive freshmen, the Commons are in fact single sex by floor and alternate (as well as a few more, i.e. Branscomb). I don’t think any buildings are entirely one sex.
