General Harvard/Yale Supp. Essay Question

Would it be ok to use the same essay for each school's supplement?

The wording regarding what each essay should include is slightly different, though I think that they could be interpreted to mean the same thing.

I'm sorry, I'm just really lazy and don't care to write any more than I have to.

Thanks!

I don't know (or want to know) what Yale's question asks, but you can do whatever you want...I'd say that cutting corners wont get you in but I've met more than my fair share of people who DGAF and still get into both.

ohhhh :(

it's not that I "DGAF." I just don't believe in recreating the wheel. Especially when I could be out saving the world just as all Harvard students should be doing!

I see no reason why not. I noticed this, too, and I plan on doing the same.

It's perfectly fine. It's not like the adcoms would find out! At my school, most people write the same essays for all the schools they apply to. Our guidance counseller actually encourages us to do that, rather than waste time which could be spent getting your GPA or EC's up, or wrapping up other parts of the application.

Mathson used the MIT prompts everywhere - they didn't get him into MIT, but they did get him into Harvard. :)
