General questions on essay lengths

<p>Two parter here:</p>

<p>a) If the length of a statement or essay is NOT specified AT ALL, about what length do you think would be generally acceptable?</p>

<p>and,</p>

<p>b) When a college asks for "one page," should we assume that that is one page single-spaced or double-spaced?</p>

<p>Usually 500-750 is fine as long as it doesn't get repetitive. Mine were around 750 and my counselor said they were fine to send that way. </p>

<p>You should single-space.</p>
