I can answer 3 and 4 pretty easily.

Reed in itself is pretty much an honors college. The classes are extremely rigorous, and you end your tenure there by writing a master’s level thesis.

You can find accepted students’ stats elsewhere on the thread, but what’s really important is your passion for learning and for Reed, as demonstrated in your essays.

I hope this gets you started, but the internet is a wonderful tool by which to do research on questions like these.

2) In a mostly middle-to-upper-middle class residential neighborhood with a little commercial zoning on the corner. Nice neighborhood restaurants within walk/bike. Public transportation to get to downtown Portland and other areas. I think its fair to say that social life rests much more on small gatherings of friends than large loud parties compared to other schools.

Everybody has many small, discussion-focused classes. Everybody does a senior thesis or project. Everybody works very hard. Not much cause for an honors program.

4) [REED COLLEGE ADMISSION STATISTICS](Admission Statistics - Institutional Research - Reed College)

SAT combined mean 2083, ACT composite mean 31
63% in top tenth of HS class

…but if you’re simply a stats-oriented student rather than an intellectually driven one this probably isn’t the place for you.
