I know GS awards, like the College, both BA and BS degrees. How does one know whether the degree they seek is a BA or BS?

I've read online for example, Mike Gravel, a GS alumni, earned a BS in economics. Thus, do econ majors receive BS degrees? How can one find out?

Thanks!

Relax. Generally you’ll get a BA, except for certain majors. I believe most can be done either, and it’s pretty irrelevant. I also seem to recall reading that all CC students receive a BA, regardless of major. When you meet with your academic adviser, bring it up with them.

There are a lot of majors that you can’t do as a BS.

Philly, are you sure the the econ major was awarded as BS? Because from what I know, Columbia only awards B.A. econ degrees

[Mike Gravel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Mike Gravel - Wikipedia)

“Following his discharge, Gravel attended Columbia University’s School of General Studies in New York City, where he studied economics and received a B.S. in 1956.”

Call and find out.

Kiss 'em thru da phone for me plz. #gangstalyrics
