Genetic engineering

<p>I'm coming in pretty blind about this and thus will probably ask some stupid questions...anyway. How does one like get started in this field? I've tried Googling but nothing came up relevant to what I was looking for. Do you major in something specific and go to med school, or do you major in some type of biology and grad school? Is there any data on salaries and employment outlook?</p>

<p>This is a field I’m interested in as well. From what I understand, it may be best to major in molecular and cellular biology to get into this area. However, I think it may be possible to do so with a biochemistry or a genetics degree as well.</p>
