<p>the regular joe cant work these jobs becuase these are elitist organizations. They do a good job at hiring people with either proven talent, or in some areas, they are buying you somewhat for the colleg name on your diploma. Looks good to clients</p>

<p>Yeah. They want to be able to tell a client, "We're putting a Wharton MBA on this deal, so don't worry about it." In exchange, they work you like a dog (like harder than a dog) and throw money at you if you complain in any way shape or form.
Associate: "My butt hurts. My chair's broken."
MD: "Oh sorry. I'll add $10k to your bonus."
Associate: "I just want a new chair."
MD: "OK I'll add $15k to your bonus."
