<p>Is there a possibility if you are a well qualified student from a small midwestern state applying to strong southeastern colleges and universitys that the institution will give you more aid and that you have a stronger chance at acceptance? I have heard that some schools would like diversity based on geographic location but don't know if that is an urban myth or not.</p>
