Hi. Im looking to possibly apply to Saint Louis University this year. But my mom says its too far, as I live in CT and its supposably a 16 hr drive. Her limit is essentailly 6. I am a true new englander and would like to know how many people come from the North of the country and go to SLU. If i got homesick it would be nice to know that I was not in a comptley different environment. As far as I have seen the student body is mostly from the south and midwest. Any anwser would be appreciated. Thanks !

I’m from Philadelphia and was just accepted to SLU. I’m going to see it in a few weeks, but so far, I am comfortable with the demographic of the student body. I would like to meet people from places other than the north, which I would definitely experience at SLU!

Most students are from Chicago, Saint Louis, Kansas City, Omaha, Milwaukee, Cincinatti, or Cleveland. There are a few students from California and other states but like 80% are from the cities I listed above. There are a lot (like 10%) Chinese students. There are almost no southerners so if that concerns you its not an issue. Financially most students are well off so thats also something to consider.

Thank you for responding to my post. I feel better knowing that there is a mix and not everyone is from the same 2 states or something. Thanks for your help.
