Does anybody know how Middlebury treats applicants from the same school? Two of my friends are applying, one with stats phenomenally higher than mine, and another who has already beaten me out at at least one other school. On my own, I'd say I probably have around a 50/50 chance, but compared to the other people applying from my school, I'm nothing. Does anybody have any experience with this issue at Middlebury?

I really have no idea. However this is my personal experience. Four out of a class of around 80 from my high school (private, sends a large percentage to ivies) applyed to Midd early. I got in, two got deferred and one got rejected. I don’t know if that’s just how everything turned out, or if they didn’t want a lot of people from one school…but Midd is pretty small so they probably take that into account to a certain extent.
and I’m not from new england, so there aren’t that many people coming from my state.

I know there are a couple schools that send 3 or 4 students in a year. I wouldn’t be too concerned, especially if your school has a fairly good relationship with Middlebury.
