Senior in high school here, and I'm extremely undecided about my potential majors. I love the earth sciences and I figured a geology major would yield the most career opportunities--but I'd like to eventually earn a large salary and everywhere I've looked has pointed to engineering.
Initially I thought that there was no way I would get into engineering, but at this point I think I might be able to handle it. So anyway, what would a geological engineering major entail? (Like coursework and a time range for how long I would spend studying; also what math classes are required.) Are career prospects good for geological engineering?
For those taking this major: are you happy with your decision to pursue geological engineering?
Any advice/links would be helpful!

Here is a sample plan for the geological engineering major at Minnesota:

Math requirements are comparable to other engineering fields.
