Hi can anyone give suggestion on picking up classes in first year of business school if the plan is to study International business in future. When do you start taking IB concentration as major and can you maintain good GPA while studying for IB. Is there any other concentration in business school which help you maintain a good GPA. Also any suggestions in taking some credit classes in local community college this summer before starting freshman year.
I wouldn’t worry too much about your first year, as you’ll be taking a lot of general requirements along with intro to business classes. My recommendation is to look-up your degree requirements (https://business.gwu.edu/sites/g/files/zaxdzs1611/f/IBUS_Concentration_Sheet_New%20BBA_Summer%2017%20Edits.pdf) and take one or two each semester. According to that page, the only “recommended” course for fall semester of freshman year is ECON 1011. Take than and don’t worry about the rest. You can speak with an advisor before registering for spring and get much more info.
