<p>I think the OP is concerned because he/she thought that the scholarship could be used towards EFC and the FA package would cover the rest (the need).</p>
<p>The OP’s EFC is $25k, yet the $24k scholarship won’t cover any of it. That ( I think ) is the problem.</p>

<p>yes, the fact that the merit award wont cover my EFC is a huge problem.
i was under the notion from what i heard at an info session at GW that merit and need awards were given separately enabling me to use the need awards for my “need” and the merit award for my EFC…</p>
